Andrew Horn - Mystical Jewellery
About
Brought up in the Los Angeles, Andrew's parents emigrated from Glasgow when he was just a lad. He has a Bachelor's of Arts Degree in Design from California State University, but he has always wanted to return to Scotland, and he has finally made that dream a reality here in Girvan. Now he has a jewellery workshop on Dalrymple Street where he crafts his wonderful Jewellery.Andrew's work is mostly in silver, made from wax master designs, but he also does gold in various colours. The aim of the work is to create Talisman style pieces that have meaning and purpose to the wearer. He finds it most rewarding when he makes a piece of jewellery that resonates with the owner emotionally.
Andrew's philosophy takes the idea that there are truths in many traditions and we can take the best from around the world, and try to integrate this into his work.
He looks forward to sharing some of the process and designs.
