This year, the Garden Owners of Dalswinton Mill have once again arranged something rather special for their garden open day on Sunday 9 August 2026, following the huge success of the 2025 event.As well as the opportunity to explore this wonderful, evolving garden with the Pennyland stream running right through the centre, owners Colin and Pamela Crosbie have also organised a mini plant fair with some wonderful specialist nurseries, so visitors can come and find some plant treasures to take home. Not only that, there will be music through the afternoon by the Loch Arthur Band and lovely home-made cakes and refreshments.
There will also be horticultural demonstrations and talks through the afternoon, some by Colin Crosbie, a horticultural expert in his own right as a former gardener to Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother, Curator at RHS Garden Wisley, Scotland’s Gardens Scheme Trustee and, most recently Colin and the garden has appeared on Beechgrove.
