This fun family workshop is for children is a basic introduction to weaving techniques. Weaving is a way to produce colourful art using assorted textiles. Weaving is a slow activity that encourages concentration and hand eye coordination. Thus, developing neural pathways and strengthening small muscles in the fingers essential for writing. The child will create their own pattern encouraging self-expression and creativity. Being able to choose their own colours and textures helps to boost confidence.All materials are provided

This workshop is part of King Street Arts - EXPERIENCE Arts Festival - taking place in The Gallery at The Storey, Meeting House Lane, Lancaster between 11th & 16th May.
Some of Val’s own artworks will be on display in the exhibition.
