Webinar - 'Making Sense' for parents and carers
About
Worcestershire Health & Care NHS Trust - Paediatric Occupational Therapy webinars‘Making Sense’ is a webinar for parents and carers of school‑aged children who experience sensory sensitivities or sensory difficulties that can affect everyday life.
The session helps you understand how your child experiences the world through their senses, such as touch, sound, movement, and body awareness. It explains why some children may feel overwhelmed by noise or clothing, seek lots of movement like jumping or spinning, or find some daily situations difficult to manage. You will learn simple, practical strategies that can be used at home to support your child.
This webinar is aimed at parents and carers of school‑aged children who struggle with sensory experiences and may become upset, uncomfortable, or overwhelmed in everyday situations.
There will also be an opportunity to ask questions around issues that are relevant to you.
The content is the same in each webinar, so you only need to book onto one. The slides will also be provided to you after you have attended the webinar.
The webinars are run using Microsoft Teams.
If you have any difficulties joining this please call us on 01562 514520.
Please note: This webinar is open only to families who are registered with a Worcestershire GP or who have a child attending a school within Worcestershire. If you book onto this webinar and do not meet this eligibility criteria, your booking will unfortunately be cancelled.
