This CPD-certified course is delivered by a highly-experienced trainer from smarthorizons.co.uk. It will enable you to gain an understanding of the roles and responsibilities of the Designated Safeguarding Officer role and develop competence and confidence in the role.
By the end of the session, you will be able to:
-describe the role of the designated professional for safeguarding
-relate to national statutory guidance created to promote welfare, safeguard and protect children, young people and adults
-ensure that good practice in regard to safeguarding is embedded within the organisation
-demonstrate understanding of statutory and non-statutory roles in protecting individuals
-deal with safeguarding concerns and referrals on behalf of the organisation
-ensure adequate advice, support, information, instruction and training for staff is available with the organisation
-respond to allegations and complaints
The cost of the session, including certificate, is £60 for LDCVS members and £90 for non-members, plus a small booking fee charged by trybooking.
