Morgan Sports Car Club: Mogsquad drive through the North Cotswolds, 28 July 2026NOTE: You need to book a ticket for your car, plus optionally a lunch ticket for each person (driver and passenger). Only those who have booked their car in to this system will receive the joining instructions!
EVENT DETAILS
We will meet near Woodstock for an 0845 briefing, to drive off in groups starting at 0900. Breakfast is available from 0730 for those who would like to fuel up (pay on site).
The drive will end around 1400-1430 near Winchcombe, after which a hearty ploughman’s lunch will be served. There will be a coffee/loo/photo stop en route.
We will experience the full variety of Cotswold roads, from fast B-roads with sweeping views to narrow (and maybe a bit bumpy) single-lane tracks through farmland. We will see pretty honey-coloured villages, rolling hills, dry-stone walls, beautiful churches funded by the wealthy medieval wool merchants … and plenty of sheep. The route is around 73 miles (there are no planned fuel stops) and will take around three hours of driving (two before the coffee stop and one after).
However do remember that this is not a speed trial nor a race: it is your responsibility to drive safely and legally. Navigation will use MyRouteApp for which instructions will be sent to participants.
We would rate this run as:
- Driving difficulty: Moderate with a couple of 1.5 mile stretches of Advanced
- Navigation difficulty: Easy-Moderate, but we will be using a new app
- Scenery potential: Excellent (with some Good where the unmown grass is higher than a Morgan!)
- Driving fun potential: Good with several portions of Excellent
TICKETING DETAILS
Please buy one ticket (free) for your car; and one lunch ticket (£14 + platform fee) for each of you requiring lunch at the end.
(Please pay onsite for optional breakfast, coffee, and drinks with lunch.)
Drivers must be MSCC members (a condition of the Club’s insurance.)
ROUTE INFORMATION
After you book, you will receive an automated email which contains details of the route and the navigation software we will be using.
