A unique opportunity to join a women-only Argentine Tango session in the beautiful setting of Carlisle's Tithe Barn, Blackfriars Street, CA3 8HB, with Francesca Halfacree.
Francesca has been practicing Argentine Tango for around 25 years. She has played a key role in the Cumbria Argentine Tango scene, bringing teachers from all over the world and connecting people with groups and events across the UK. Francesca's been living between Buenos Aires and Cumbria for the past few years. When she's there, she dances up to 6 hours a night, 3-4 nights a week!!!
A Taste of Tango invites women to connect while trying something new, or possibly reigniting an old passion. Enjoy a special moment to refocus and recharge your mind and body in a relaxed, fun and supportive space. No experience is necessary, but if you have some - great!
To get you in the mood, please wear something black/red, if possible, & smooth soled shoes, or heels if you feel comfortable in them. The session will involve some physical contact.
The funds raised will be split between CIWG and ENASHU, a charity Francesca supports in Argentina, which provides healthcare to rural communities in northern Argentina where there is a lack of healthcare: https://www.instagram.com/ayudamedicohumanitaria/
Tickets are allocated on a 'pay what you can' basis with FREE refreshments included. Please do not let cost be a barrier - let us know if you need a free ticket.
ALL women and non-binary people who identify with womanhood are welcome 🙂
