Inclusive Accessible Walk Around Wyre Estuary, Lancashire
About
πΆββοΈ Be part of something special! πΏWe're excited to announce our very first Access the Dales walk in the Wyre area, and we'd love you to join us!
π Friday 4 September 2026
π 10.00am β 3.00pm
π Wyre Estuary Country Park, Thornton Cleveleys
This is the start of an exciting new partnership with Wyre Coast & Countryside Service, and we're keen to build a friendly community of people who love getting outdoors, whatever their mobility.
Together we'll explore the beautiful Wyre Estuary, home to Lancashire's largest area of ungrazed saltmarsh. Along the way you'll discover its fascinating wildlife, rich history and spectacular estuary views.
The walk is fully inclusive and suitable for people using Trampers and other powered all-terrain mobility scooters, as well as walkers. The route follows mostly level paths, with a few slightly uneven sections.
π Three Trampers are available to borrow if you don't have your own powered mobility equipment.
β We'll break for lunch, with an onsite cafΓ© and excellent accessible facilities, including a Changing Places toilet.
Whether you're a regular on our walks or thinking of joining us for the very first time, we'd love to welcome you. Come along, meet new people, enjoy the fresh air and help us make this first Wyre walk a fantastic success.
Let's show that the outdoors really is for everyone.
π Places are limited, so book your place today!
