The Schola Cantorum of The Cardinal Vaughan Memorial School, joined by the Belgravia Chamber Orchestra, presents an evening of French music in the beautiful setting of Notre Dame de France, just off Leicester Square.
At the heart of the programme is Maurice Duruflé's sublime Requiem, performed in its chamber orchestra version. The concert also includes Fauré's much-loved Cantique de Jean Racine, together with luminous motets by Poulenc and Messiaen. The Belgravia Chamber Orchestra will also perform Debussy's evocative Danse sacrée et danse profane, completing an evening celebrating some of the finest sacred and instrumental music of twentieth-century France.
