Meet the leaders making real decisions to positively impact our towns and communities.We're kicking off the new season of The Gather at Art Gene in Barrow-in-Furness for this one - set among artwork rooted in the local community, this one's for anyone who cares about the towns we work and live in, and for the decision-makers shaping them.
After welcome drinks, you'll get the chance to network and take in a small selection of artist Maddi Nicholson's work, on display for the evening. There'll also be food using produce from Allotment Soup: the Isle of Walney Community Growing Space - literally home grown.
Then it's over to the panel discussion and Q&A. We'll be joined by Stuart Miller, CEO of The Cumberland, Tom Andrew, acting Director of Policy at the Cumbria Combined Authority, Maddi Nicholson, Artist and Co-founder Director of Art Gene, and Jackie Arnold, a member of the Team Barrow board - all leaders who've made real decisions to invest in the towns they're part of, rather than pull back from them.
It's a beautiful venue, there'll be a brilliant crowd, and it's the perfect way to kick off the new season of The Gather.
