About
Cat Smith MP and Lizzi Collinge MP will join us for a Voluntary Sector Q&A on Friday 9 October 2026 at Torrisholme Methodist Church. Doors will open at 9:30am for a 10am start.
Please note that this invitation is intended for colleagues within your organisation. We kindly ask that you do not share the event details or booking information more widely or outside your organisation. Thank you for your understanding.
This session will bring together voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) organisations from across Lancaster District for an open and constructive conversation about the challenges, opportunities and priorities facing our sector and the communities we support.
It will be an opportunity to:
- Engage directly with our MPs on the issues affecting your organisation and the people and communities you work with.
- Highlight the vital contribution of the VCFSE sector and the difference our organisations make every day.
- Hear from Cat and Lizzi about current and emerging government priorities and policies relevant to our sector and communities.
- Share your experiences, concerns and ideas and help inform the conversations taking place nationally.
- Connect with our MPs and your colleagues from across the sector.
Most importantly, we want this to be your opportunity to ask questions, raise the issues that matter to you and ensure the voice of our local VCFSE sector is heard.
Whether your organisation is facing immediate challenges, seeing new needs emerge in your community or has ideas about what could help our sector achieve even more, we would really value your contribution to the conversation.
Parking / transport: parking at Torrisholme Methodist Church and on surrounding roads is extremely limited and we recommend travelling to the event by public transport if possible. Buses 1 and 1A run between Lancaster and Morecambe every 20 minutes and stop at Michaelson Avenue, a two-minute walk from the Church.
