How to win “Mastermind” (and any other TV quiz show you want to enter)
Join Diane, the 2026 Mastermind champion for some insider tips to help you get noticed and boost your chances of success. You’ll learn how to apply, the key points that will make you stand out on your application form, what to expect during an audition, and, once selected, how to prepare effectively, stay calm and keep your nerves in check. She’ll also cover the best ways to choose and then revise your specialist subject. Remember, if you fail to prepare, you’re preparing to fail!
Diane is a proud, born-and-bred Lancastrian with plenty of quizzing experience, having played in the Lancaster City Quiz League for over 35 years. She’s also appeared on numerous TV quizzes, including The Chase, 15-to-1, Impossible, and most recently Mastermind, which she won in April 2026 and is the current champion.
