All ages

The first half is Tim’s tribute to the great folk-surrealist Ivor Cutler, hero of the Beatles (he was Buster Bloodvessel, the bus conductor in the Magical Mystery Tour) and John Peel (he was a regular doing sessions for Peel in the 70s and 80s). Beautiful, hilarious and weird songs performed as Ivor did accompanied with pedal-organ.

The second half is a set of songs and stories, written and performed by Tim. It is a celebration of love and death, hares and dancing trees. Come along and be ready to laugh and cry.

Tim Dalling, accordionist, performer and songwriter. His funky accordion and soulful voice have been likened to a cross between Randy Newman and Ivor Cutler. Famous as the kilted fall-guy in The Old Rope (and New Rope) String Band. He has worked for many years in theatre as musician, actor and composer with Sally Cookson, Emma Rice, Wils Wilson and Kneehigh Theatre.

There will be an interval in the performance.

There will be an invite for audience participation, to join to sing on some choruses.
