Think You’re Too Small for a Cyber Attack? Think Again

Join us for our final BLaH speaker event of 2026 before we round off the year with our ever popular Christmas lunch.

For our November lunch, we’ll be joined by Debra Samuel, The Computer Guru, for a practical and thought-provoking session on a subject that affects every one of us – cybersecurity.

Cyber attacks only happen to big businesses… don’t they?

It’s easy to think that cyber criminals wouldn’t be interested in you. Perhaps you’re a small business, a charity or a sole trader. Maybe you think you have nothing worth stealing or that cyber attacks are something that happen to much bigger organisations.

Unfortunately, cyber crime doesn’t quite work like that. Cyber attacks happen all the time and, as the way we use technology continues to evolve, so do the methods used by cyber criminals.

During this session, Debra will take us into the sometimes scary world of cyber crime and, more importantly, explain some of the practical things we can do to help protect ourselves, our families and our businesses.

The aim isn't to frighten or baffle you with technical jargon, it's to help you become more aware of the risks and leave with a better understanding of how you can stay safer in the increasingly digital world we live and work in.
