To start off the new academic year for the Sixth Formers, we have arranged a team building event for all Year 12 and Year 13 students, in the form of a Scavenger Hunt.  This will take place in Brighton on Wednesday 6  September 2017.

This is a compulsory event and all students who have a confirmed placement for Year 12, are expected to attend.  It is a fantastic opportunity for them to work together as a team, whilst using their skills and knowledge of following and understanding instructions, in order to complete tasks. There will be seven members of staff travelling with students, in order to support and guide them. Please note, students will be required to work in groups throughout Brighton. Staff will be available to them, but students will be free to move about the city unsupervised. On the morning of the event, students will be briefed about saftey, security and interacting with others while in Brighton.

Students need to meet at Lancing train station at 09:40 in order to catch the 09:51 train to Brighton. We will depart Brighton at 14:33 and return to Lancing at 14:50, where students will be dismissed.

We would like to ask for a voluntary contribution of £3.00 for the cost of the train fare and this can be paid through Trybooking. If you are unable to make a contribution, you can note this in the booking process.

As students will not be in one fixed place during the day, they are asked to bring a packed lunch with them or money in order to purchase food.

Though you have received this letter, invitation to this trip will be dependent on GCSE exam results and enrolment into the 6th form, if unsure and confirmation is required, please speak to Mr Monahan – mmonahan@srwa.woodard.co.uk.

Through the process of booking a ticket, please confirm your son/daughter’s attendance and in the meantime, we look forward to seeing the sixth form students on 6 September for the start of the academic year.
