Foundation Unit 2 - Lumbar Spine and Lower Limb
4-day course covering the lumbar spine, hip, knee and ankle/foot. The course is highly practical and combines this with theory lectures, clinical reasoning, and a review of functional anatomy.
This course provides core training that enables clinicians working in the MSK field to examine, diagnose and treat common disorders accurately and effectively. The courses are ideally suited to clinicians working with MSK patients in all settings including hospital out-patients (Physiotherapy, Rheumatology), sport, general practice, private practice or orthopaedics.
Once you have completed your booking, the course handbook will be sent to you 4-6 weeks before the course and the manual will be issued to you on arrival on the first day.
The course will be led by one of our Module Coordinators, and tutors from our experienced team.
The courses are open to Physiotherapists and Medical Practitioners who are registered with their professional regulatory body (HCPC/GMC).
Other health professionals (e.g. Osteopaths, Podiatrists, Chiropractors etc.) working in the MSK field are now welcome to attend our Foundation courses but unfortunately are not yet eligible to take the membership examination at the completion of unit 3.
