AROPS Annual Conference 2019

The AROPS Annual Conference 2019 promises to offer a varied and thought-provoking programme that will help you to inspire and guide your society in the year ahead. The theme for our 2019 Conference is: Navigating Change: The Future of Alumni Societies.

The programme will explore the challenges and opportunities facing the independent school sector and the changing role that Alumni Societies will play in the long-term future of their schools.

Keynote Speaker: Shaun Fenton (Chair, HMC)

Topic: View from the Top: Improving Communications between Alumni Societies and SLTs

Shaun Fenton shares how Heads and Senior Leadership Team's (SLT) view the role of Alumni Societies in today's independent schools’ sector. He also discusses the important role that Societies must undertake to help secure the long-term future of their schools, and how they can engage their SLTs' to achieve this.

Shaun Fenton is Headmaster of Reigate Grammar School (RGS) and 2018-19 Chair of HMC (Headmasters’ and Headmistresses’ Conference), which represents independent schools.
