About

This 32 page booklet features a huge range of amazing foraged goods and recipe ideas.

Written and created by Nicky, our amazing Wild Women Leader.

"These are some of my favourite recipes and ways to engage with the amazing variety of wild foods and medicines that are growing all around us, even in urban environments."

This cost is for pre-sales of the Hillfields Wild Women - Recipes from the Wild book. All proceeds go to supporting Hillfields Community Garden, Wild Women and our community work in Hillfields.

Collection of books can be done from 12th May 2026 only from Hillfields Park Community Centre, BS16 4EH.

A simple, down-to-earth collection of foraged recipes and ideas, put together to share skills and raise funds. It covers the basics of safe foraging and the Forager’s Code, then gets straight into things you can actually make—like wild garlic pesto and butter, nettle soup, seed crackers, and oat bars.

There are also sweet bits like elderflower cake, dandelion cookies, blackberry energy balls, and sourdough apple cake, alongside drinks and preserves such as elderflower cordial, hedgerow wine, berry jam, and rosehip syrup. You’ll also find a few extras like gingerbug, herbal vinegars, and simple ointments.

Practical, seasonal recipes using what’s growing around you. Buying the book helps support our work and keeps more of this going.
