Join us for an inspiring and practical day of workshops, exploration and creative development, led by professional performers Helena Payne and Ella May Carter.
Whether you are interested in acting, musical theatre or simply want to build your confidence as a performer, this is an opportunity to learn, experiment and ask questions in a professional environment.
The morning session will be led by Helena Payne who has played Titania in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Edmund 'played with verve and brio', in LEAR, Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest, Will Doone, Lady Macbeth in Macbeth, and Lady Sims in The Twelve Pound Look with Pleasure Dome. Other works includes Sexism is Bad...at the Arcola, Top Girls at the Southbank Centre, Praxagora in the Assembly Women, Mrs Smith in the Bald Prima Donna at The Old Red Lion, Helena in A Midsummer Night's Dream, and Guiderius in Cymbeline at the Cambridge Shakespeare Festival
This summer she toured with Reduced Opera as Carmed in Carmen. She has Toured with Heritage Opera as mercedes in Carmen and other sung roles include Cesare in CESARE which she also adapted and co-wrote the libretto for.
The afternoon session will be led by Ella May Carter who recently starred in the West End production of Les Misérables. Ella May will lead students through choreography from the show and explore some of the music and key characters!
