About
ONLINE Specialist Training for Early Years Settings with Helen Buteuxot, a Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist with over 13 years of NHS and independent practice, specialising in early childhood development, neurodiversity and supporting children with additional needs to participate fully in everyday life
Supporting Every Child: A Practical SEND Confidence Programme.
This series consists of 5 x 45-minute online sessions (all are 6.45-7.30pm) which are designed to build knowledge over time and embed learning into practice.
ALL 5 SESSIONS MUST BE ATTENDED AND THE SAME LINK WILL BE USED FOR ALL.
Session 1 22/10/2026: Understanding Child Development & Early Identification.
Session 2 19/11/2026: Looking Beyond Behaviour.
Session 3 3/12/2026: Supporting Participation, Play & Independence.
Session 4 21/1/2027: Embedding Inclusive Practice.
Session 5 25/2/2027: Case Discussions & Q&A. This interactive session provides an opportunity for practitioners to reflect on their learning, discuss real-life scenarios from their setting and receive tailored advice on implementing strategies in practice.
This programme helps settings to:
Staff feel more confident recognising children’s strengths, needs and developmental differences early.
Improve understanding of SEND.
Support earlier identification.
Improve children’s participation in play and learning.
Strengthen partnerships with parents.
Create more inclusive environments where every child can thrive.
