About
Whether you're inexperienced, want to understand your partner better, struggle with confidence, are curious about kink, or have already started exploring BDSM and want to build your knowledge, this workshop is designed to give you a stronger foundation.
You do not need any previous experience or knowledge to attend.
❤️ Confidence, Sex & Intimacy
We'll explore some of the things that can make intimacy confusing, awkward or intimidating especially when nobody ever properly taught us how to talk about them.
Topics include:
• Sexual confidence & performance anxiety
• Overthinking and getting out of your own head
• Porn vs reality
• Understanding your desires and fantasies
• Communication before, during and after intimacy
• Consent & personal boundaries
• Reading body language and recognising responses
• Understanding different sexual responses
• Pleasure, connection and becoming a more attentive partner
• Different levels and types of desire
• Affection without expectation
• Common myths surrounding men, women and sex
• Sexual health, STIs & safer sex
• Exploring new experiences safely and without pressure
Being confident doesn't mean magically knowing what everyone wants.
It means being comfortable enough to communicate, listen, learn and respond to the person in front of you.
Research backs up just how important that communication can be: a meta-analysis covering 93 studies and 38,499 people found that better sexual communication was associated with greater sexual and relationship satisfaction.
⛓️ Kink & BDSM
Then we'll step beyond the fantasy and look at what BDSM and the kink community are actually like in the real world.
We'll cover:
• BDSM basics & terminology
• The reality of kink vs what you may have seen online or in porn
• Dominant, submissive, switch and other dynamics
• Consent and negotiation within BDSM
• 🚦 Green, Amber & Red / traffic-light systems
• BDSM safety & risk awareness
• Safe exploration for beginners
• Aftercare and why it matters
• Edging, anticipation & control
• Rules, rituals and different types of dynamics
• High, Mid & Low Protocol
• Boundaries and communicating limits
You don't need to know what label fits you and being curious about something doesn't mean you have to do it.
The aim is to help you understand your interests and make informed decisions about what you do and don't want to explore.
🍻 Entering the Kink Community
Interested in meeting other kinky people but have absolutely no idea where to begin?
We'll talk about:
• What a munch actually is
• Going to your first munch
• What to expect at kink events
• Play parties & basic etiquette
• Respecting scenes, equipment and other people's space
• How to introduce yourself without feeling awkward
• How to approach someone respectfully in person
• Recognising whether interest is being reciprocated
• Handling rejection gracefully
• Privacy and discretion within the community
Your first goal doesn't need to be finding someone to play with.
Start by becoming someone people feel comfortable getting to know.
📱 Navigating Kink Online
We'll also look at the online kink world and some of the mistakes newcomers can easily make.
We'll discuss:
• Creating a presence online
• How to actually start a conversation
• Messaging etiquette
• Why someone's kink, role or profile isn't an invitation
• Respecting Dominants and submissives without assuming a dynamic
• Unsolicited sexual messages and images
• Recognising boundaries online
• Privacy, screenshots and discretion
• What to do when somebody isn't interested
• Building a positive reputation within the community
Behind every kinky profile is still a person. Talk to the person before you talk to the kink.
