Once a term, Trinity’s Sixth Form Centre is transformed into a real jazz club. We welcome some of the finest musicians from the British jazz scene to perform alongside our own amazing students; think Ronnie Scott’s comes to Croydon.
For the Summer Term we welcome our own alumnus Luca Wade. Luca studied Classics at UCL whilst touring the world with the band Wasia Project amongst other artists. Returning from 2 years of international touring, Luca (Class of 2021) brings his quartet, showcasing some of the finest young players in the UK Jazz Scene, to Trinity Jazz Club, playing a variety of repertoire, from Coltrane classics to modern compositions by the likes of Sean Mason.
The band (all of whom are graduates of the prestigious Guildhall or Trinity Laban conservatoires ) features:
Cam Rossi (tenor sax)
Jay Verma (piano) [Olivia Dean, Cleo Sol]
James Leaver-Whitfield (upright bass)
Support is from the Trinity Jazz Collective plus guest singers. This amazing bunch of musicians are all destined for greatness! Already amassing pretty impressive CVs, their accolades include masterclasses with Dave Holland and Wynton Marsalis, not to mention Ellis winning UK Young Drummer of the Year 2026.
The bar will open at 6.30pm selling drinks and light refreshments throughout.
