Ark: A Visual Treasury — Stephen Ellcock In Conversation

Please join us in our railway arch in Shepherds Bush Market as author and image curator Stephen Ellcock discusses his extraordinary new book, Ark: A Visual Treasury of Earth’s Living Wonders, a celebration of the diversity, beauty and strangeness of life on our planet.

Bringing together a stunning collection of images spanning art, science, natural history and visual culture, Ark, which is published by Thames & Hudson, explores the intricate relationships that connect the living world. It also considers what we stand to lose as these relationships come under increasing threat.

Stephen will be in conversation with tree scientist and author Harriet Rix, a contributor to Ark and author of The Genius of Trees: How They Mastered the Elements and Shaped the World. Together, they will discuss the ideas and images behind Ark, our relationship with the natural world, and the enduring power of art and imagery to transform the way we see it.
