Snowdonia Weekend

Pack your boots and get ready for rugged beauty—DG Outdoor Adventures is heading to the incredibly scenic and wild region of Snowdonia!

If you are looking for an amazing weekend exploring natural wonders and taking on the legendary Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon), this is the trip for you.

🗺️ The Game Plan

The Adventure starts Sat, Sept 11 1:30 PM (Prompt!) at Cwm Idwal. Make sure you are there in plenty of time to park as it can be a wait for a space. 

Warm-Up: Meet in the Ogwen Valley for a beautiful 2.5-hour hike to check out some local natural wonders. Afterward, check into your accommodation or explore the local villages.

Sat Evening Pub Grub: Optional group dinner to fuel up—likely at Y Stablau in Betws-Y-Coed—followed by an early night.

Sun, Sept 12 Early Start. The Main Event (Yr Wyddfa): We’ll beat the crowds with an early ascent! Our exact route depends on the weather and group ability, but we’re hoping to take the Rhyd Ddu Path up and the Snowdon Ranger down. Expect up to 8 hours on the mountain.

Mon, Sept 13 Bonus Round (Optional): Stick around for the Moel Eilio Circuit to bag three smaller peaks in the Llanberis area, potentially finishing off with a trip to the spectacular Llanberis Waterfall!

🏕️ Basecamp & Gear

Accommodation: You are free to book your own stay! We highly recommend finding a spot within a 20-mile radius of Snowdon so you have easy access to the mountains.

Fuel: Sunday is a massive day (up to 8 hours of hiking). Bring plenty of food and water to keep your energy up!

Kit List: Good walking gear is absolutely essential for this terrain. A full kit list will be provided as soon as you grab your ticket.
