Listening to the Land: The Gathering

Throughout 2026 our curious and eclectic group has been meeting to explore how tuning into nature can inspire creativity, and support our wellbeing. We have experimented with different ways to connect and relate – to the living world, with ourselves, and each other. We have visited rivers, forests, park, and ocean. We have tuned into our senses, and tried different ways of being and moving, and listening to the more than human. We have created poems, songs, music, and plenty of strange sounds!

It has been a fruitful and interesting journey and we wish to invite others to join us to experience the harvest of our time together - our after party?!

This gathering event is not quite a performance, not quite a workshop, but a melding of the two, in which you will be invited to participate, or, just sit back and enjoy what others wish to offer - Choose your own path through our afternoon together.

An opportunity to:

• Hear some of our newly emerging creations – we will share poems, songs, music and sounds

• Support us to present our offerings – some of our sharings will invite involvement!

• Experience a taste of the creative processes we have played with – we will invite you to venture out into the park to listen to the land yourselves, which will flow into a group collaboration in words and sounds (for those who wish to participate)

• Contribute to the creation of our project podcast

• Connect with the spirit of Autumn, gathering to celebrate our unusual harvest!

Attendance is free, but please book your place so we know how many to prepare for - Places strictly limited for an intimate and friendly vibe :-)

This project was facilitated by Playful Nature, funded by the The National Lottery Community Fund, and hosted by Full of Noises in Barrow Park. Thanks to our supporters for helping us to see this to fruition!
