Menstrual Health at Work: Awareness, Confidence and Practical Action
In a microbusiness, every member of the team plays an important role. When someone is experiencing menstrual health challenges, the impact can be felt across wellbeing, confidence, concentration, attendance and day-to-day working relationships.
This practical two-hour online workshop is designed specifically for microbusiness owners, founders and managers who want to better understand menstrual health and its potential impact in the workplace, while building confidence in providing appropriate and proportionate support.
Led by Jenny Bowers, Founder Director of Purplemoon and a Henpicked Licensed Menopause in the Workplace Trainer, this interactive session creates space to explore a topic that is often overlooked, yet affects many people of working age.
During the workshop, you will:
Increase your understanding of menstrual health and common menstrual health conditions.
Explore how symptoms can affect wellbeing, confidence and work performance.
Build confidence in having sensitive and supportive workplace conversations.
Consider practical workplace adjustments that are realistic for microbusinesses.
Understand how greater awareness can contribute to inclusion, wellbeing and retention.
Learn where to access reliable information, guidance and support.
For small businesses, the impact of health and wellbeing challenges can be particularly significant. Greater awareness of menstrual health can help business owners and managers respond appropriately, support valued colleagues and create a workplace culture where people feel able to thrive.
By the end of the session, you will have increased knowledge, practical tools and greater confidence to take positive action within your business.
Suitable for: Business owners, founders, managers and anyone with responsibility for people within a microbusiness.
