Menopause at Work: Awareness and Action for SMEs

Menopause is a workplace issue as well as a health issue. With more people remaining in work for longer, organisations of all sizes are increasingly recognising the importance of creating workplaces where employees experiencing menopause feel understood, supported and able to perform at their best.

This practical two-hour online workshop is designed for business owners, senior leaders, managers and HR professionals within small and medium-sized enterprises (11-349 employees).

Led by Jenny Bowers, Founder Director of Purplemoon and a Henpicked Licensed Menopause in the Workplace Trainer, the session goes beyond awareness to explore practical approaches that support employee wellbeing, engagement and retention.

During the workshop, you will:

Understand menopause and how symptoms can affect working life.
Explore the impact menopause can have on wellbeing, confidence and workplace performance.
Develop confidence in having supportive and appropriate conversations.
Consider practical workplace adjustments and supportive approaches.
Understand the role of managers and leaders in creating an inclusive workplace culture.
Learn how menopause awareness can contribute to employee retention and wellbeing.
Access reliable information, guidance and support resources.

Research indicates that 1 in 4 people have considered leaving work during their menopause transition, while 1 in 10 have left a role because of their symptoms. Creating a supportive workplace can help organisations retain valuable skills, experience and talent.

By the end of the session, you will have greater understanding, increased confidence and practical ideas that can be applied within your own organisation.

Suitable for: Business owners, directors, managers, team leaders, HR professionals and anyone responsible for people and workplace wellbeing within an SME.
