Scratch Night... Starring our Acting on Location cast

22 creators. 7 scenes. 1 winner.

Scratch Night is a stripped-back, original Theatre on Foot production… but this time, it’s been written by our actors.

Over the course of the Autumn Term, our Seniors Acting on Location cast have created, written, directed and produced their very own short scenes from scratch. Now, it’s time to bring their ideas to life and share them with a supportive audience.

In true Scratch Night fashion, expect an eclectic mix of original ideas, bold storytelling, unexpected twists and plenty of surprises as we take you on a journey through seven exciting subgenres: magical realism, whodunnit, gothic horror, western, rom-com, sci-fi time travel and farce. Each scene is a chance for our young creatives to experiment, take risks and showcase their talents in a completely new way.

But there's more than just applause at stake…

At the end of the evening, Kane and Dayna will choose one winning scene, with its original idea developed into a full-length, 90-minute play! This will become our next production, rehearsed from January before taking to the stage at MAKE North Docks, Liverpool, on Saturday 26th June 2027.

Come along, support the next generation of theatre-makers, and see what happens when young creatives take the reins and bring their own stories from page to stage!
