Witchy Wild Wellbeing Day - Saturday 31st October

Saturday 31 October 2026
Witchy Wild Wellbeing Day Saturday 31st October | Celebrating Samhain, the turning of the seasons & a little bit of witchy woo-woo 🧙‍♀️🌙 Step away from the everyday and into a little bit of magic. This special Wild Wellbeing Day invites you into the cosy embrace of Blossom Yurt to celebrate Samhain — the ancient Celtic festival marking the end of the harvest and the beginning of winter. A day for honouring what has been, embracing the turning of the seasons and making space for what’s to come. We’ll weave together seasonal yoga, meditation, creativity, ritual, nature, delicious food and plenty of witchy woo-woo — with a healthy dose of joy and playfulness thrown in for good measure. Think autumn leaves, candlelight, woodland magic, fire, folklore, potions, pumpkins and a little bit of spell-casting (the good kind!). What the day will include 🍂 Seasonal yoga & meditation A grounding autumnal practice to help you slow down, turn inward and connect with the changing season. 🔥 Fire & ritual Gather around the fire to explore the traditions and symbolism of Samhain, with a simple seasonal ritual to reflect, release and welcome the darker half of the year. 🌿 Witchy crafting & creativity Get your hands messy with a seasonal creative activity inspired by old folk traditions, nature and a little everyday magic. 🔮 A little witchy woo-woo Expect folklore, symbolism, journalling, seasonal reflection and perhaps a touch of divination… because what's a witchy day without a little peeking into the unknown? 🥣 Witch’s feast A delicious, warming seasonal lunch made to nourish body and soul — because even witches need feeding. 🌲 Wild nature time Time to wander, breathe in the autumn air and connect with the landscape as it settles into winter. 🕯️ Rest & reflection Space to simply be, with guided relaxation, quiet moments and time to cosy up in the yurt with a cuppa. This isn't about taking yourself too seriously or believing in spells and crystal balls. It's about reconnecting with the old rhythms of nature, the changing seasons and the magic of making space for yourself. Every Wild Wellbeing Day is slightly different, shaped by the season and the rhythm of the land — but at the heart of each day is always the same: simple, soulful joy, deep connection with nature and a sense of ease that lingers long after you leave. Come as you are. Bring your curiosity. Leave a little lighter — and perhaps with a little more magic in your pocket. ✨ Broomsticks optional. Why not make a weekend of it and book to stay over? Check out www.howgillshideaway.co.uk for glamping accommodation options and availability.

Sauna Supper - Friday 14th August

Friday 14 August 2026
Introducing...Sauna Suppers! Because Sauna has always been about more than the heat. And Sauna makes you hungry!! Across many Scandanavian and Baltic cultures, the sauna has long been a place where people gather to pause, connect, share stories and strengthen community. After the final round in the sauna, everyone would often come together over good, simple food. I love that tradition, so I thought… why not bring it to the Howgill Fells! Join us for an evening that blends the restorative power of sauna ritual with the simple joy of sharing a meal. We'll begin with a guided ritual in our wood-fired sauna, moving through rounds of gentle heat, cooling and rest, with carefully chosen aromas, leaf whisking and moments of quiet reflection. There'll be plenty of opportunities to cool off between rounds with a cold shower or the plunge, and time to relax, chat and soak up the beautiful surroundings. After our final sauna, we'll gather together for a delicious supper, giving ourselves time to refuel, unwind and enjoy easy conversation. No phones. No rushing off. Just good food, warm hearts and wonderful company. Whether you come with friends or arrive on your own, you'll be warmly welcomed. By the end of the evening, you'll likely leave with rosy cheeks, a full belly and perhaps a few new friends too. What's included A guided 1 hour wood-fired sauna ritual Multiple sauna rounds with cooling breaks Use of our cold plunge and outdoor shower hose Herbal tea and water throughout the evening A delicious, nourishing supper Time to connect, relax and enjoy our peaceful setting beneath the Howgill Fells Early Bird Offer – Ready. Set. Go…! 🔥 To celebrate this new offering, we're giving £5 off for everyone who books by Friday 24th July. That's just £40 instead of £45 – an absolute bargain for an evening of warmth, nourishment and connection. Places are limited, so if this sounds like your kind of Friday night, we'd love to welcome you around the table. NB: Check out our other upcoming Sauna Sessions too. If you'd like to book the sauna privately, please get in touch!

Wild Wellbeing Day - Saturday 8th August

Saturday 8 August 2026
Wild Wellbeing Day A gentle pause. A breath of nature. A day to come home to yourself. Wild Wellbeing Days are an invitation to step out of the rush of everyday life and into the steady, grounding rhythm of nature. Held in and around the cosy Blossom Yurt, nestled amongst the Howgill Fells at Howgills Hideaway, these days are about softening, laughing, breathing deeply and remembering what it feels like to be fully present. This is not about fixing yourself. It’s about tending to yourself with care, curiosity and a good dose of joy. How the day gently unfolds: Arrival & Grounding We arrive slowly. A warm welcome into the yurt, time to settle in, take in the views and let the outside world fade into the background. Gentle grounding, breathwork and intention-setting to mark the shift from “doing” to simply being. Seasonal Yoga & Movement A nourishing yoga practice guided by the season — sometimes slow and soothing, sometimes playful and energising, always accessible and optional. Expect mindful movement, intuitive flow, moments of stillness and plenty of encouragement to listen to your own body. Rest & Meditation Space to soften and land. A guided meditation or relaxation practice to quieten the mind, restore the nervous system and deepen your connection to yourself and the landscape around you. Seasonal Crafting & Creative Play Hands in, heads out. A simple, soulful seasonal craft inspired by nature — weaving, writing, making, creating. No experience needed, just curiosity. This is creativity for joy, not perfection. Fireside Chats & Reflection Gathered around the fire (or the stove, depending on the weather), we share gentle prompts, reflections and fireside conversations. There’s space for journalling, listening, laughter and quiet moments alike — share as much or as little as you wish. Wild Nourishing Lunch A delicious, wholesome lunch made to nourish body and soul, enjoyed together. Food that feels comforting, seasonal and generous — because wellbeing should taste good too. Nature Time & Integration Time to step outside, wander, breathe in the wide-open landscape and let the day settle. This might be a gentle walk, solo reflection or simply sitting and soaking up the view. Closing Circle We close the day with gratitude, grounding and a sense of spaciousness — carrying a little more ease, joy and connection back into everyday life. What these days are really about ✨ Slowing down without guilt ✨ Reconnecting with nature and your natural rhythm ✨ Finding joy as well as peace ✨ Feeling held, seen and gently nourished ✨ Leaving lighter than you arrived Every Wild Wellbeing Day is slightly different, shaped by the season, the weather and the people who gather — but the heart of the day remains the same: simple, soulful, joy-filled and deeply human. Why not make a weekend of it and book to stay over? Check out www.howgillshideaway.co.uk for glamping accommodation options and availability.

Friday Night Yin - 31 July

Between Friday 29 May 2026 and Friday 31 July 2026
Friday Night Yin – A Cosy Evening Retreat Because rest is a perfectly valid Friday night plan. Arrival & Landing (15 mins) Guests arrive as dusk settles over the fells. Shoes off, shoulders down. A warm welcome into the yurt — candlelight glowing, blankets layered, the kettle quietly steaming. There’s no rush here. Come as you are. Yes, pyjamas are very much welcome. Herbal teas are poured — seasonal, soothing, soul-friendly — and there’s time to arrive gently, letting the week loosen its grip. Opening Circle & Intention (10 mins) We begin by gathering in a small circle, grounding into the space and the moment. A few soft words to set the tone — not striving, not fixing — simply being. An invitation to set a gentle intention for the evening: rest, ease, softness, or perhaps just permission to stop. Yin Yoga Practice (75 mins) A slow, nourishing Yin Yoga practice designed to unwind the body and settle the nervous system. Postures are held for longer, supported with bolsters, blankets and cushions — allowing the body to soften rather than push. The focus is on deep rest, quiet release and creating space in the body after a busy week. Expect: Grounded, floor-based postures Long, supported holds Gentle guidance woven with poetry, seasonal reflections and moments of silence An emphasis on listening inward and moving at your own pace This is not about flexibility or “doing it right” — it’s about sinking in, letting go, and feeling held. Tea Pause & Cosy Reset (10 mins) A short pause to rewarm hands and hearts. More herbal tea, a stretch, a blanket shuffle. Nothing to do, nowhere to be. Yoga Nidra – Guided Rest (30 mins) We finish with Yoga Nidra, a deeply restorative guided meditation — often called yogic sleep. You’ll be invited to lie down, fully supported and wrapped up, while you’re gently guided through a journey of rest, imagery and awareness. This is where the nervous system truly unwinds, the mind softens, and deep rest becomes possible — even if sleep never comes. Many people leave feeling clearer, lighter and deeply nourished. Closing & Gentle Departure (10 mins) We close softly — no sudden endings. A moment to arrive back, share a smile, and gather ourselves slowly. There’s no rush to leave. You’ll head back out into the night calmer, cosier and more connected — carrying that Friday-night feeling of ease with you. The Essence of Friday Night Yin This is: A regular evening retreat A pause at the end of the week A reminder that joy can be quiet Rest as an act of self-respect Low effort. High nourishment. The kind of night that says “I chose myself.” Why not make a weekend of it and book to stay over? Check out www.howgillshideaway.co.uk for glamping accommodation options and availability.

Bloom with Berry - Fire & Flow Weekend 20-22 March

Friday 20 March 2026
Fire & Flow – Yoga and Sauna Weekender ✨ Wellbeing woven with words, fire and flow. A two-night glamping retreat in the Howgill Fells Fire & Flow is a nourishing weekend rooted in warmth, movement, nature and simple joy. Held in the cosy embrace of Blossom Yurt and the crackling heat of the wood-fired Birch Sauna, these weekends offer space to step away from the everyday and sink into something slower, steadier and more spacious. Every Fire & Flow weekend is slightly different, shaped by the season and the rhythm of the land — but at the heart of it is always the same: simple, soulful joy, deep connection with nature, and a sense of ease that lingers long after the weekend ends. This is time to soften, to breathe more deeply, to move your body with kindness and to be well fed, well rested and warmly held, surrounded by hills, big skies and good company. The Weekend Will Include Across the weekend you can expect: • Nourishing yoga practices held in Blossom Yurt — sometimes gentle and grounding, sometimes a little more playful and energising, always guided with care and a sense of fun • Guided meditation, rest and time to simply be • Traditional Lithuanian-inspired sauna rituals in the wood-fired Birch Sauna • A guided local walk through the surrounding landscape with an optional river dip (conditions permitting) • Journalling and simple creative practices — playful, reflective and pressure-free • Plenty of space to rest, wander, chat, nap or sit quietly with a cup of tea Fire & Sauna Rituals A central part of Fire & Flow is time spent in the wood-fired Birch Sauna, guided through traditional Lithuanian-inspired sauna rituals. These rituals are slow, sensory and deeply nourishing — more than just sitting and sweating (though there’ll be plenty of that). Expect waves of steam, infused aromas, gentle heat, whisking with oak and birch leaves, moments of quiet reflection and deep rest. Each ritual is designed to support nervous system regulation, release and that unmistakable feeling of being both grounded and uplifted. Warmth, intention and care — with a sense of calm that lingers long after you’ve cooled off. What’s Included • Two nights glamping accommodation • All yoga classes and guided practices • Guided meditation and Yoga Nidra-style rest • Lithuanian-inspired sauna ritual • Journalling and simple creative sessions • Guided nature walk (with optional wild swim) • All meals included: – 3 × breakfasts, 2 × lunches, 2 × dinners – Refreshments, warming drinks and cake • A small, intimate group for a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere Who Fire & Flow Is For Fire & Flow is for you if you’re craving: • A break from noise, demands and rushing • Yoga that feels human, intuitive and kind • The grounding magic of fire, steam and ritual • Time in nature to breathe a little deeper • Connection, laughter and long, unhurried moments Come as you are. Leave warmer, softer and quietly glowing from the inside out. Venue Information Nestled within the Howgill Fells with breathtaking 360-degree views, Howgills Hideaway is a secluded glamping site on a working farm. Most activities take place in Blossom Yurt — our shared space for yoga, rest and gathering — or outdoors in the surrounding landscape. This is a wild, back-to-nature experience rather than a five-star hotel retreat. Life here is guided by the elements — fresh air, wide skies and whatever weather chooses to visit. Comfortable outdoor clothing and a sense of adventure are recommended. Accommodation Options All accommodation is located on site at Howgills Hideaway. Bloom with Berry Wild Wellbeing Day - Saturday 7 March

Saturday 7 March 2026
