The Care and Fun Club Charity @ Blythe Centre

The Care and Fun Club charity, deliver and facilitate a great selection of groups for the community. Based from Blythe Bridge Library, Blythe Centre can offer cost effective and welcoming facilities to promote workshops, social groups and activites that support our general health and wellbeing.

    Come along to a welcoming, friendly, parent/ carer, baby & toddler group. A place to meet, play, learn and grow. Toys, activities and crafts Everyone welcome Twinkle Tots group is operated by The Care and Fun Club Charity and run by an Early Years Professional. Suggested ages - From Birth - Preschool "4yrs old"

    The boards are out do you fancy a game?? Turn up and see if you can learn a new skill. Grab a game with someone or bring a friend with you. No need to book, although your welcome too. Its FREE to join in.

    Fancy knowing and learning about a variety of Arts and Crafts? Each month our experience artists’ will support you on you voyage of discovery, as you develop your knowledge each week Led by Debbi Silcock a local multimedia artist who has shown her work in some very prestigious galleries, you will learn and hone your skills in various genres of arts and crafts: traditional crafts, modern and culturally diverse in this facinating weekly sessions Suitable for beginners and more advanced crafters

    A weekly group for needle work enthusiasts. Beginners Welcome A welcoming group who enjoy being creative with a mixture of traditional fabrics. Learn to Knit and Crochet, or begin your own sewing project. Whilst enjoying the company of like minded individuals.

    Weekly quiz night, test the grey matter and raise funds for local causes. Teams of up to 6, book your table by calling Texting or use WhatsApp 07933104634 £2 per person, plus optional raffle tickets @£1 all payable on the night. Bring your own alcohol. We have available to purchase, tea, coffee, and soft drinks at the Centre with proceeds supporting the centre.

    Join our volunteers as they sing rhymes and encourage your little one to play along with basic musical instruments such as tambourines & hand bells These free, half hour sessions are not only great fun, playing musical instruments can help develop your baby's motor skills and getting together in a group is a great opportunity to socialise Aimed at parents, carers and grandparents with children aged 0-3 (4) With limited numbers allowed in the centre/library at the moment booking is essential

    A Fortnightly Creative Group for Artists "and Budding Artists" of all genres - Beginners Welcome Providing opportunities to express & develop a variety of modern and traditional textile, arts and crafts. Bring your own projects! Offering prospects for the individuals in the group to inspire each other with non-profit making workshops using their experience. Providing an opportunity for mindfulness & community through crafts.

    Are you interested in Science? Do you like making things? Have you signed up for the summer reading challenge? In this session, we are looking at how things move. We will be creating some fun crafts. Each Club will include a snack and drink, crafts to take away and a fun experiment to try at home.

    Have you ever wanted to be spy? Do you fancy learning a secret code? Do you want to sign up for the Summer Reading Challenge? In this session we are looking at how to create a secret code. From treasure maps to hieroglyphs we can communicate in all sorts of ways, so come along to find out more. Each Club will include a snack and drink, crafts to take away and a fun experiment to try at home

    Are you a budding palaeontologist? Are you bonkers about dinosaurs or fossils? Would you be interested in signing up for the summer reading challenge? In this session, you can create some dinosaur artwork for your bedroom. Why not bring along your favourite dinosaur to show everyone? Each Club will include a snack and drink, crafts to take away and a fun experiment to try at home.

    Are you fascinated by nature? We’ll looking at the science behind the world around us. We are planning some fun experiments for you to try at home. In this club we will be creating a volcano that erupts (hopefully). Each Club will include a snack and drink, crafts to take away and a fun experiment to try at home.

    The library fell silent. The lights had gone out. Everyone stood still. The lights came back on....a body was on the floor. Miss Scarlet screamed. Everyone looked at the body and then at each other. Who had poisoned Rev. Green? Why would they do such a thing? Nobody had the answers... it was a mystery. Come down to the library and help us solve the mystery. We’ll look at the alibis, look for motives.
