Let me show you some of the hidden gems of this unique and picturesque village. Ravenglass is the only coastal village in the Lake District National Park and boasts double UNESCO World Heritage Site status as it is also at the beginning of The Frontiers of the Roman Empire. We shall discover the people who visited and lived in Ravenglass from the earliest times to the present day and how their lives were and still are influenced by the beautiful landscape around us.

Inspired by Bluebells

Thursday 27 April 2023
Guided Tour and Painting Workshop by Cumbrian Treasures Join me to experience the springtime wonder of a native woodland carpeted by bluebells. This is your time to immerse yourself in the calm of the surroundings and relax. Our venue is known for its stunning views and amazing gardens with Azaleas and Rhododendrons all bursting with colour but it also has one of the most stunning Bluebell woods in Cumbria. In the morning we shall have a guided walk through the gardens before heading up into the woods to bluebell heaven. Here you can draw inspiration from this magical place, to create your own painting, after a light lunch back at base. Whether you are a complete beginner or a competent artist it doesn’t matter, this is not about creating a masterpiece but a meaningful memento of the day. Materials provided but bring your own if you prefer. Some paths are steep and uneven underfoot. Dress for the weather!
