Our Wellbeing Walks offer a friendly, relaxed way to enjoy gentle exercise, connect with others, and spend time outdoors. They’re also an ideal step towards achieving 30 minutes of activity several times a week.
Designed for people with long‑term health conditions and their carers/family, these walks provide a supportive space to build confidence and develop regular exercise habits — whatever that looks like for each individual.
During our guided walks, members will enjoy:
- Steady, accessible walking routes
- A welcoming, social atmosphere
- Time in nature and the outdoors
- Boosts to mood, confidence, and wellbeing
- Tips for staying safe and comfortable
Some walks may also include optional activities to complete along the way.
Wellbeing Walks form part of SDSG’s non‑aquatic conditioning and enrichment programme, supporting individuals to safely develop fitness, confidence, and regular activity alongside our wider health and wellbeing offer.
Participant: Adapted, aged 8+ and comfortable walking short, steady distances.
