The President's Cake

Each year, to celebrate President Saddam Hussein's birthday, schools across Iraq choose a student to bring something to honour the President's birthday. Nine year old Lamia lives with her Grandmother who teaches her some tricks to avoid being chosen. Despite her best efforts, Lamia is chosen anyway and is tasked with baking a cake. She struggles, however, to find all the ingredients but failure is not an option as the consequences could mean imprisonment or worse.
