Based on the true life story of a young Richard Jenkins, whose ambition was to become an actor. Home life, however, was disruptive and dominated by his drunken, unsupportive father. His English teacher Phillip Burton, however, recognised the boy's raw talent and agreed to coach him. Due to Richard's chaotic family situation, Mr Burton offered to shelter him and, ultimately, adopted him. Richard from then on became known as Richard Burton, and was hailed as one of the best actors to emerge from Port Talbot, Wales. UK/USA/Canada 2025 Cert 12A 124 minutes Director: Marc Evans
