Y10 Geography Fieldtrip to Ainsdale Beach

Friday 16 May 2025
As part of the three-year GCSE Geography course, field trips are arranged to enable your son/daughter to be fully prepared for the external examinations. Fieldtrips are a compulsory element (minimum of 2 days) in the specification and are directly examined, with questions on skills, risks involved, data collected, and the whole fieldwork process. We have arranged this trip to enable your son/daughter an opportunity to collect the information required in the examination, as well as visit a location we have studied in class. The trip will involve students travelling to Ainsdale beach and collecting primary data to examine the characteristics of Ainsdale sand dune system.

Year 3 Trip to the River Alt 2025

Wednesday 21 May 2025
On Wednesday 21st May 2025 we will be visiting Croxteth Hall to see the River Alt in its early stages the children will have the opportunity to measure the river. Children will be leaving school at 09:30 and arriving back to school at 14:30. A packed lunch will be provided for those that have school lunch. Children who usually bring a packed lunch to school should continue to do so, please supply this is a named disposable bag. On Wednesday 2nd July we will be visiting the mouth of the River Alt in Hightown the children will have the opportunity to compare this to the river in its early stages. Children will be leaving school at 10:00 and arriving back to school at 14:30. A packed lunch will be provided for those that have school lunch. Children who usually bring a packed lunch to school should continue to do so, please supply this is a named disposable bag.

Reception Trip to Farmer Teds

Thursday 22 May 2025
We will be visiting Farmer Ted’s Adventure Farm to end our learning for this term’s big question “How does it grow?” The children will have the opportunity to learn about different farm animals from the Farmer Ted’s group leaders and practise animal care, such as pony grooming. They will also get to enjoy a tractor ride and participate in physical activities in the various play areas, plus lots more!

TCM May Half-Term Holiday Club 2025 (Reception - Year 6)

We are excited to welcome children in Reception to Year 6 to our Holiday Club this May Half Term! Running from 8 AM to 5 PM, with drop-off between 8–9 AM and collection between 4–5 PM, the club promises a fun-filled, engaging experience in a safe and supportive environment. Children will enjoy a full day of exciting activities (to be announced soon), designed to keep them active, creative, and entertained. All meals are included; breakfast, morning snack, lunch, and afternoon tea, so you can rest assured your child will be well looked after throughout the day. TCM May Half-Term Football Camp (Years 2–6) with Alan Stubbs

This May half term, give your child the chance to experience the TCM Football Camp, hosted in the stunning grounds of Scarisbrick Hall School. Open to children in school Years 2 to 6, the camp offers an action-packed week of football fun, led by ex-professional player Alan Stubbs and his team of highly experienced, professional coaches. Each day runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm and includes technical training, small-sided games, team challenges, and match play; all designed to build skills, confidence, and a love for the game. Children will also enjoy a healthy morning snack and a nutritious hot lunch, ensuring they stay energised and focused throughout the day. This May half term, TCM invites young rugby enthusiasts to take part in an exciting Rugby Camp hosted at Scarisbrick Hall School. Designed to develop skills, strength, and teamwork in a fun and structured environment, the camp is led by a team of experienced and professional rugby coaches. The camp is open to children in school Years 3 to 6 and runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm, with each day including a healthy morning snack and a hot lunch to keep participants fuelled and focused. Each day features engaging sessions covering core rugby skills such as passing, tackling technique (age-appropriate), positional awareness, and match play – all within a safe and supportive environment. Whether your child is new to rugby or already plays at school or club level, this is a fantastic opportunity to learn from the best and enjoy the game. This May half term, TCM is proud to host a dynamic Netball Camp at Scarisbrick Hall School, tailored for children in school Years 3 to 6. Led by a team of professional netball coaches, this camp offers a fantastic opportunity to develop skills, build confidence, and enjoy the game in a fun and inspiring environment. The camp runs from 9:00am to 4:00pm each day and includes a healthy morning snack and a hot lunch. Sessions are tailored by age group to ensure the best experience for all participants. Children in Years 3 and 4 can attend on Tuesday 6th May and Thursday 8th May, while children in Years 5 and 6 can join on Wednesday 7th May and Friday 9th May. From footwork and passing drills to team play and match strategy, each day is packed with engaging activities tailored to age and skill level. Y10 Geography Field Trip to Holderness Coast and River Tees
