Lunar New Year Cultural Walking Tour

In honour of the Year of the Dragon and the 25th Anniversary of the twinning of Liverpool & Shanghai join us on a walking tour around Liverpool's Chinatown on Saturday 17th February, 2pm. Find out about the colourful street furniture of Chinatown, explore the symbolism and stories of this wonderful part of the city and Chinese culture. We will also delve into the fascinating history of Liverpool's Chinese community, the oldest in Europe. On this tour you'll also get to try a short introduction to Qigong (weather permitting) by Angela from Angela's Tai Chi School, so it's a full body & mind experience. The Tour is led by Harriet Gilmour from Experience Liverpool, a professional Blue Badge Tourist Guide. It will be approximately 1hr and 15 mins. Beginning at the Bombed Out Church and ending in Great George Square in present day Chinatown. Regarding access & mobility this is a concise walk with a very short distance covered but a fair bit of standing time. Tickets £9pp

Saints and Elegant Devils Walk- a History of Great Women

In honour of International Women's Day I will be doing a walking tour around the Georgian Quarter of Liverpool where we will uncover the history of several great women with links to that area. We will feature figures such as Margaret Simey an "elegant devil that people loved to hate", Kitty Wilkinson "Saint of the slums" and many others. The walk is not just for women but anyone who is interested. The Walking Tour is led by Harriet Gilmour from Experience Liverpool, a professional Blue Badge Tourist Guide. It will be approximately two hours. beginning at the Suitcases on Hope Street and finishing near circular at the Metropolitan Cathedral. (Walk includes some steps and uneven ground) £1 from each ticket sold will be donated to a local women's charity. The Toxteth Women's Centre. The walk is not affiliated to them I just value their work.

Liverpool ONE Regeneration Story Buggy Tour

Great for locals and tourists alike. This tour explores the modern architecture of Liverpool ONE, a regeneration story that has bucked the trend of the death of the high street.
