Christmas Wreath Making Workshops 2025

Join us for a fantastic festive few hours in The Beale Centre creating a stunning luxury Christmas wreath! Under the expert tutelage of our guest florists, Hortus Poeticus, you will create your unique wreath using entirely English dried flowers, seeds, berries and foliage, either lovingly grown or foraged on their farm in West Meon, Hampshire, or sourced carefully from other wonderful English growers. You will have the freedom to get your creativity flowing creating a gorgeous, natural wreath using sustainably sourced moss rings crowned with a lovely selection of ribbons to stylishly finish your personal creation. All materials and tools will be provided including fabulously festive delicious refreshments and Christmas carols! We are hosting two workshops, a morning session and afternoon session to ensure we capture everyone's most creative times of day, so book now to avoid disappointment as there are limited spaces. With our Lions preparing to head to the Southern Hemisphere this summer, the timing couldn’t be better for Rob to share his insights, stories, and deep passion for the game. As a special highlight, the evening will also feature an exclusive interview with former Lion and rugby legend Ieuan Evans and our good friend and chief rugby correspondent for The Guardian, Rob Kitson will also be joining us.

In 2025 Blundell’s celebrates 50 years of women at the school. Join us for an evening celebrating women’s health.
We’ll discuss how nutrition and lifestyle can support hormonal health at every life stage, from teens to later adulthood:
- How and why hormones impact the way we feel.
- Key nutrients for hormonal and nervous system health.
- How to make positive nutrition changes in the context of a busy lifestyle.
- Practical lifestyle tips to support hormonal health through sleep, stress management and exercise.
- Useful resources – testing, therapeutic foods and herbs, supplements, recommended books and podcasts.
An informal evening for the Blundell’s school community, led by Nutritional Therapist and Breathwork practitioner Jo Saunders, with the opportunity for discussion and questions with drinks and canapes afterwards. Jo is an experienced Nutritional Therapist with 13 years’ clinical experience.

The first in a series of health workshops here at Blundell's, fellow parents Caroline Atkinson and Jo Saunders are generously sharing their time, skills and expertise to help guide us all through the labyrinth of health and wellness, including sessions on hormones, teen health, mind health, children's health, skin health and of course menopause. The sessions will take place in The Beale Centre which will be transformed into a tranquil and calming space for everyone to listen, learn and share experiences whilst also enjoying an array of delicious nutritional treats created by our very own Ankur and his team. The first session will be focussing on the impact on nutrition and lifestyle and how both can support hormonal health at every life stage, from teens to later adulthood. Charity Padel Event in aid of Samaritans

Come and enjoy a fantastic morning of social padel (Padel Tennis) in aid of Samaritans.
£30 per player; includes two hours play, racket/balls & court hire, quick introduction to Padel session, and refreshments. All proceeds go to Samaritans.
Padel is one of the fastest-growing sports in the world at City Padel Exeter. The session will start with a demonstration and presentation of the rules. Players will rotate every 20 minutes or so and that way enjoy playing with all sorts of players of all sorts of abilities.
This sociable charity event is aimed at all ages and abilities with an emphasis on fun.
This event is created and run by Kate Wheatley. Kate is also running the London Marathon in aid of the Samaritans. This incredible organisation answers 1 call every 10 seconds in the UK and has been training volunteers to provide emotional support to people struggling to cope for over 70 years.

Please join us for an evening of taste tantalising delicious cuisine, prepared by our award winning Sous Chef Harrison Miller and his two young Devon Guest Chefs. Following his success in the Young South West Chef regional competitions, Harrison wished to create an event where he and other talented young chefs in the South West could show case their emerging talent in the kitchen, and share their culinary creative skills with the wider Blundell's community. Including Canapes, a Three Course Meal with the added options of a Wine, Cider and/or non-alcoholic Cocktail flights, combined with like minded people, all set within Blundell's Big School, it is certainly the quintessential recipe for a fantastic evening. End of Season Celebrationery Wine Tasting

A reminder to all that this Saturday afternoon, we are being joined by James Frost (OB and current parent) who will be hosting a wine tasting session in The Beale Centre directly after the last matches of the season in celebration of the Rugby and Hockey 2024 seasons. Direct from his stunning vineyard Quinta de Sant’Ana just outside Lisbon, James will be introducing six of his wines, including a particularly delicious pink bubbly! It will be the perfect way to thank all parents for braving every weather element possible this term to support their teams, as well as the ideal way to spend a festive Saturday afternoon! The event will take place straight after matches finish around 4.00 pm and we anticipate finishing at around 5.30 pm. You are warmly invited back to Blundell's to celebrate the 50th Reunion of the 1974 1st XV Rugby Team on Saturday 14th September.
The proceedings for the day are:
- Reception drinks from 12:30pm at the Beale Centre.
- Followed by a two course lunch.
- Watch the Blundell's 1st XV take on Millfield at 2:45pm.
- We are then hoping some of the players and Tony Yapp, Director of Rugby will join us for a chat and there will be an opportunity for you to collectively award a prize to the Blundell's Man of the Match.
- The afternoon will finish with tea, coffee and cake.
