Wild Women - Restorative Flow Yoga with Pippa

Wednesday 16 October 2024
Welcome to this special restorative yoga class, designed to welcome in the soothing energy of the autumnal season. This practice invites you to slow down, ground yourself, and find balance as we transition into a quieter, more reflective time of year. We will begin with a slow flow, guiding your body with the breath. We will then move into a series of Yin poses, which are held for longer to allow your body to go deeper into the pose, your muscles to relax and joints to soften. Our practice will conclude with an extended shavasana, a deeply restful and meditative state, allowing you to absorb the benefits of your practice. You'll be invited to fully relax and reflect, aligning with the season's invitation to rest, restore and renew. This session is suitable for everybody, and no previous experience of yoga is required. Please do bring a mat, blanket, cushion and anything else you may need to stay cosy.

Hillfields Bird and Bat Box Workshop

Between Saturday 13 July 2024 and Saturday 21 September 2024
Come along to this fun workshop and make your own bird, bat or swift box. Sessions are on: 13th July - 11am - 1pm 17th August 11am - 1pm 21st September 11am - 1pm Nest boxes are brilliant way to encourage more birds into your garden. Habitat loss means that there are less and less places that birds can nest, so the more that we can do to address this, the better. During the workshop we will use basic woodworking skills to make simple wooden boxes that are suitable for different types of birds. You can choose from a box suitable for small perching birds like robins, blue tits and sparrows, a bat box or a swift box which needs to be installed high up, ideally under the overhang of a roof. All equipment and tools will be provided, and you will be supported by trained volunteers to assemble the box yourself. This workshop is suitable for all ages and abilities. £7 per ticket will help toward costs. Limited concession tickets available text Sarah on 07709053290.
