Lower and Middle School Open Day

Between Wednesday 4 March 2026 and Wednesday 6 May 2026
Join us for a welcoming and informative Open Day at Michael Hall Waldorf School, designed to give prospective families a genuine insight into our learning environment, teaching approach, and day-to-day school life. Your visit will include a guided tour of our campus and classrooms, the opportunity to observe lessons in progress, and time to meet members of our teaching and admissions teams. You will also hear an introduction to Waldorf Education and how it is lived and delivered at Michael Hall. During the morning, we encourage families to join two tours, as each one offers a different experience: Tours are led by different members of staff. Current students will also be joining the event to answer questions and share their experiences of life at Michael Hall. You will visit different classrooms and see different lessons in progress The early tour focuses on Main Lessons, and the other on subject lessons When registering, you can choose to: attend two tours of the same age group (Lower School or Middle School), or attend one Lower School tour and one Middle School tour to see both stages. This allows you to tailor your visit to what is most relevant to your family. Programme 8:30 – Arrival and Registration, refreshments and opportunity to view an exhibition of student work and crafts 8:45 – Welcome talk 9:00 – Tour 1: choose Lower School or Middle School 10:00 – Talk by Jacqueline Courtenay (A supervised activity will be available for children during this talk.) 10:45 – Tour 2: choose Lower School or Middle School 11:30 – Q&A session 12:00 – Open Day closes We look forward to welcoming you and sharing a glimpse of life and learning at Michael Hall.

Upper School Open Days

Friday 13 March 2026
Join us for our Upper School Open Day at Michael Hall Waldorf School (ages 14–18), designed to give prospective families a thoughtful and practical insight into learning in the Upper School years. Your visit will include an introduction to our Upper School curriculum and approach, a tour of classrooms and learning spaces, and the opportunity to observe the atmosphere of the school day. You will also have time to meet members of our teaching and admissions teams and ask any questions you may have. Alongside our rich and creative Waldorf curriculum, students work towards a range of recognised qualifications, including GCSEs, A Levels, BTECs, the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), and Integrated Education qualifications. This balanced approach supports young people to develop academically, creatively, and socially, while preparing them with confidence for further education and life beyond school. Current Upper School students will also be available throughout the event to answer questions and share their experiences of life at Michael Hall. Early Childhood Open Day

Thursday 14 May 2026
Join us for our Early Childhood Open Day at Michael Hall Waldorf School and discover our calm, caring approach to early childhood education. During the morning, you will hear about our Early Childhood provision, including our Parent & Child groups (ages 0–4), Saplings (ages 2–4), and both our Kindergarten and Forest Kindergarten (ages 4–6). You will have the opportunity to tour our Early Childhood spaces, explore our beautiful grounds, and meet members of our teaching and admissions teams. There will also be the opportunity to see the rest of the school for those interested in seeing the journey that Michael Hall offers. Our Open Day programme is designed with parents’ experience in mind and may be less engaging for little ones. If you are bringing your child, one of our teachers will run a gentle craft or activity in the room next door during the talk, so you can enjoy the session while your child is happily occupied nearby. Programme for the day 10:00am – Arrival, registration, and refreshments 10:15am – Talk by our Principal, and our Early Childhood Manager 10:50am – Tour 1 Early Childhood 11:10am – Tour 2 Lower and Middle School 11:30am – Question and Answer session 12:00pm – End of Open Day In the weeks following the event, families who attend will also be invited to join one of our Stay and Play sessions or a free taster visit, offering another opportunity to experience our Early Childhood setting more fully.
