Health and safety in the workplace is important to every businesses, both in terms of protecting staff and the public, and ensuring that costly legal action and damage to reputation is avoided should the worst ever happen. The Highfield Level 3 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) has been developed to give learners a sound knowledge and understanding of health and safety. Aimed primarily at those already working as a supervisor, manager or team leader, it can also be used to train those who are preparing to start work at this level. However, supervisors and managers have more responsibility than others, with legal and more obligations to ensure health and safety in implemented correctly and adhered to. The Highfield Level 4 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) has been developed with supervisors, managers and those with a direct responsibility for health and safety management in mind. Ideal for those already working in a management or supervisory role, or those preparing to start at this level, this popular qualification will ensure learners are aware of their legal and moral obligations to ensure health and safety within a business and to employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers. Its subject areas are regarded by the Health and Safety Executive as being important to developing safe working procedures in the workplace.
