Emily Massey is a Team GB Horseback Archer, having represented Great Britain 8 times internationally. Her competitive achievements showcase her experience, with notable placements such as a Bronze Medal in the 2023 World Cup, British Champion title in 2022, and multiple podium finishes in European Grand Prix and British Championships events.
Emily is the only HBA coach in the UK to hold both the British Horseback Archery Advanced Coach qualification, and certification with the Nemethy Academy in Hungary, one of the top Horseback Archery academies in Europe. Emily also holds coaching qualifications with the British Horse Society, and is a Level 2 Judge for the International Horseback Archery Association.
Her coaching is grounded in her own extensive training and international experience, which she brings to her students and whether you’re new to horseback archery or an aspiring competitor, Emily offers an enriching and adventurous journey for all.

Positive Equestrian Camp - SCOTLAND August 2025

Looking to gain some confidence or simply let your hair down for a weekend, come and join us on the Positive Equestrian camp (15th & 16th) where we shall enjoy two days of fun, education and exploring new pathways with horses and have an option to take part in an inclusive, enjoyable fun competition on the third day (17th).
The camp is open to all ridden and non ridden equines of all breeds and all ages, a great opportunity to get those babies out.
Places are also available for people wishing to join the camp without a horse, take part in all the workshops and be involved in some of the groundwork sessions with donor horses.
From Pole work and Working Equitation to Horseback Archery, Rider Psychology to Equine anatomy this camp with have something for everyone to find enjoyment and liberation from.
Participants will also have a free ticket to the Positive Equestrian Demonstration on the evening of the 16th

Practise and perfect the Dressage phase of Working Equitation in an online no pressure atmosphere, being judged by a ABWE candidate Judge.
Classes will be based on the current British Working Equitation Dressage rules and tests are able to be found here https://abweofficial.co.uk/pages/workingequitation-dressage-test-sheets
Videos submitted must not be from an ABWE competition and competition dress is not compulsory, but smart clothes must be worn. (A MARK OF 5 WILL BE AWARDED FOR TURNOUT FOR ALL TESTS)
The person videoing MUST be standing behind C, holding the phone LANDSCAPE, Ideally zooming in at the A end of the school, keeping the horse central to screen.
You need to be in a marked arena (surface or grass) with correct measurements of 20x40m.
The video MUST have sound. Callers are allowed but you may not have training help.
Video MUST be verbally introduced (Rider & Horse name and month/year)

So many people believe that training a horse is only done from riding them and in fact it is quite the opposite. Join us as we show you ways to help your horse loosen up and find self carriage on the lunge without use of gadgets, learn exciting inhand exercises to take home and practise and be inspired to progress in an ethical style of training with any horse or pony.

Join us as we show you ways to help your horse loosen up and find self carriage on the lunge without use of gadgets, learn exciting inhand exercises to take home and practise and be inspired to progress in an ethical style of training with any horse or pony.

4th - 6th October WE Camp Scotland
The first Working Equitation Camp in Scotland!!
Come along with your horse for a fun weekend filled with all things Working Equitation. We look at the Dressage, Ease of Handling and Speed phases of the sport that is taking the UK by storm. No previous experience is required as groups will be split accordingly.
When you are not aboard your steed in the arena with BWE coach Steffanie Singleton, you will have the option to immerse yourself in the world of psychology with the Equipsych to up your mental performance in the ring and explore the world of equine anatomy with Brightside Equine Sports Massage to improve your horses flexibility and range of motion.
Saturday evening will see a private demo of the Working Equitation obstacles with Scotland's highest performing horse in British Working Equitation, Huckleberry Pie followed by a Q&A session.
Meals, stabling, bedding (straw) inclusive of price.
Accommodation is available at onsite Air B&B at additional cost.

Working Horse Trials 2024

A pilot event for a new and exciting equestrian discipline.
Think cross country around obstacles (similar to those found in Working Equitation, Trec, Western Pleasure & Horse Agility) at a working pace.
An optimum time will be in place to aim towards.
Points will be allocated based upon how each individual obstacle is completed
0 = Completed correctly
25 = Attempted
50 = Non completion (there is an opportunity to miss an obstacle if required)
-10 = A bonus awarded for selected obstacles.
All riders will start on the amount of points equalling the bonus obstacles on course (i.e 5 bonus obstacles 50 points) the name of the game is to gain the lowest score possible as close to the optimum time.
Turnout will be smart/casual but all up to standard, appropriate safety equipment (riding hat, boots etc) must be worn to be allowed to take part.
The aim of this discipline is to provide a fun and safe environment out of the arena for all combinations of all abilities so come join us!

Working Equitation is an equestrian discipline taking the world by storm. Developed to show the skills of the working horses in Spain and Portugal, this three phase sport (four Internationally) requires elements of elegance, agility, precision and speed, meaning there is something for every horse and rider combination to enjoy.
