Upper 6th Monologue Showcase

A selection of monologues from Shakespeare to Sophocles, from Ibsen to Strindberg. A short showcase lasting no more than 30 minutes highlighting component 2 scripted examination work.
2 one act pieces performed by the A level Upper 6th Drama group. The first entitled "Swallow" examines the lives of three women trying to find ways to re-enter the world. The second, "Julie" is a modern adaptation of the classic Strindberg play "Miss Julie". Both pieces run for approximately 35 minutes and the estimated running time is 1.5 hours plus a 20 minute interval.

Follow the journey of a teenage girl (Grace) grappling with an enigmatic presence growing inside her, a force she knows isn't a typical life within. Presented in a documentary style, 'The IT' is a darkly comic exploration of adolescent mental health and the internal turmoil that simmers beneath the surface.
