A CBS operates on a not-for-profit basis for all purposes and has aims that benefit the whole community. It is democratically managed by its members and board. We seek to engage with and respond to the needs of our communities.

Exciting news — Happymess is becoming Happymess Hub! For the next 25 weeks, we’re thrilled to run Happymess Hub a fun, free session funded by Bristol Family Hubs as part of a Test and Learn Pilot. When: Wednesdays, 10–11am Where: In our cosy canopy (now with quieter heating!) Cost: FREE Bring your little ones aged 0–4 for a relaxed morning of play, connection, and discovery. There’ll be: A sensory corner with toys, books & a blanket area Family play & craft activities Free tea, coffee & squash (plus biscuits for a small donation!) And each week, families can take home a frozen meal made by our RCG chefs! Happymess Hub is also a great space to find out about local family support services and to tell us what would be most useful for you to learn about. Each booking is for 1 child + 2 adults, and you can book online or simply drop in (subject to capacity). If you’re bringing more than one child, please make an additional booking. Wreath Making Workshops

Fancy getting creative this festive season by making something truly unique and personal and sustainable? We are now taking bookings for our annual Christmas Wreath Making workshops. Sunday 7th December 10-12 & 2-4 Tuesday 9th December 6-8pm You will be provided with a beautiful willow base, or if you have your own from a previous workshop you are welcome to bring it. You will be guided through how to decorate with sustainably sourced, seasonal foliage, everlasting flowers, pinecones carefully selected natural festival decorations. To help get the festive mood in full swing, Christmas tunes, homemade festive treats and spiced mulled cider will accompany us – a perfect festive setting! Workshops will be held in our beautiful Canopy structure. Workshops are £35 per person. Please bring secateurs if you have them!

Our partnership with We The Curious continues this Summer holiday! 🐰 Join them at the Garden on Thursday 21st August for mini beasts & alien adventures. There are 2 sessions to book: 10.00-11:00 - Mini Beast mansions Where do insects take shelter? Where is their home and what do they need? Learn about their behaviour and build a bug hotel to take home with you. In this hands-on activity, you will learn where minibeasts hide to avoid predators and raise their young ones and how we can help them stay safe. 11.30-12.30 - Alien adventures Is there alien life somewhere out there in the Universe? What would these aliens look like? Where would they live? Explore planets outside our Solar System and create your very own alien to live on one of them in this hands-on making activity. Aimed at children aged 5-12. Accompanied children only - all children need a ticket. Adults do not need a ticket. This is a free event but donations to the Garden are very welcome! 💚

Our partnership with We The Curious continues this Easter holiday! 🐰 Join them at the Garden on Friday 11th April for Alien Adventure and Stomp Rockets. This is a combined, rolling drop-in activity for over 5s. Alien Adventures explores what alien life might look like on worlds outside our solar system and using imagination to build potential alien creatures through. Stomp Rockets is a rocket making activity when we engineer paper rockets and launch them into the air with the help of plastic bottles and tubing. 10.30-12:00pm Aimed at children aged 5-12. Accompanied children only - all children need a ticket. Adults do not need a ticket. This is a free event but donations to the Garden are very welcome! 💚
