Sedbergh Music Festival
A biennial music festival in the picturesque Yorkshire Dales market town of Sedbergh.
Sedbergh Music Festival Patron
Sedbergh Music Festival Patron June 2026
Sedbergh Music Festival has always existed to hold three things together: high-quality professional concerts, meaningful involvement of young people and local musicians, and affordable ticket prices with wide appeal.
That balance remains central to what we do. Patron support is what allows us to maintain it — particularly at a time when artist fees, travel, accommodation and venue costs continue to rise.
Your continued support as a patron would help us to:
keep ticket prices accessible, give young musicians and local groups real performance opportunities, and ensure the festival continues to make a strong cultural and economic contribution to the town.
As a thank you, we would be delighted to invite patrons to an informal drinks reception after the opening and closing concerts — a chance to meet fellow supporters and some of the artists, and to say thank you properly.

In 1986 a student group gave its first concert with an eclectic mix of Monteverdi, Grieg and the Fairy Liquid jingle. 40 years on Monteverdi has remained a constant and I Fagiolini has gone on to rethink what a vocal group does, from unstageable a cappella to cross-cultural projects, world premiere recordings, the podcast Choral Chihuahua - and plenty of film. In an age of AI, I Fagiolini is a hand-painted original. Join them for this anniversary celebration of their favourite music from 40 years, presented by Robert Hollingworth (BBC Radio 3, University of York).
