Paddlesports Instructor Award

The qualification will support the instructor with practical skills such as kitting up a group and getting afloat, initial familiarisation activities, games and activities to support learning and how to use mini journeys to support learning, inspire adventure and exploration.
This will be enhanced with support on how these sessions can be delivered in a way that is enjoyable, safe and rewarding.

Foundation Safety and Rescue Training

The Foundation Safety and Rescue Training course is intended to provide you with training on the key skills need to operate in safely dealing with common emergencies in a sheltered water environment, the skills learned then form the foundations of safety and rescue throughout the suite of British Canoeing Awarding body awards. It is designed for all paddlers, coaches and volunteers, irrespective of craft or discipline choice, and is available in either bank-based or boat-based options.

ITC Level 3 Outdoor First Aid (16 Hour)

This two day course requires no previous first aid experience and enables candidates who complete the course to the required standard to act as a first aider for three years.
This award is perfect for those looking to undertake leadership awards in outdoor work and is recognised by the BMC, AMI, BCU, RYA and many more.

Introduction to Indoor Climbing - XC Hemel

Have you been climbing the walls during lockdown? Fancy learning something new?
We are running our 4 hour Introduction to climbing course at the XC in Hemel Hempstead.
Over 4 hour session you will learn the basic skills needed to get into climbing on indoor climbing walls allowing you to start to feel comfortable with the basics needed to climb with others indoors.
This course is a great first step in getting into an amazing sport.
