Understanding Children's Behaviour-Starting Well Partnership

Come join us on our one-off (face to face) discussion group for parents and carers, with children attending local Warndon area schools. The 2-hour 'Understanding Your Children's Behaviour' session - will look at why children behave as they do, what is the ‘feeling and need’ behind their behaviour and how do we support our children to self-regulate and manage their emotions and feelings more appropriately. This event is aimed at families who have children between the ages of 2- 12 years, however those with older children are also welcome to join us. Please note that this is a parent/carer only discussion session - we do not have any creche facilities available. Well Child Clinic - Tenbury

Between Tuesday 21 May 2024 and Tuesday 17 December 2024
Well Child Clinic is open to parents/carers with children under age of 5 in Tenbury and surrounding area of Worcestershire. Parents/ carers can book a 20min appointment with a member of the Health Visiting team to discuss any concerns you may have about your child's health and development. The clinics are there to support you through the early years of your child's life. We may be able to offer support to help you manage those daily parenting challenges, from checking your baby's weight and feeding to guiding you through gentle sleep strategies and much more. However, please do not bring unwell children to the Well Child Clinic as there is a risk of spreading infections to others in the waiting room. If your child is unwell on the day of your appointment, and needs to be seen the same day, please cancel your Well Child appointment and contact your GP or telephone 111 instead.

Join us on this FREE two part course where we cover the following: .Importance of a balanced plate .Budgeting and meal planning .Understanding how to use your slow cooker and the benefits of cooking in this way Families must attend BOTH sessions in order to receive a FREE slow cooker and pantry pack. Understanding Your Child's Behaviour Workshop-Starting Well

Come along to our friendly, online session and: *Understand feelings and needs behind children’s behaviour *Find out about parenting styles – balancing being in charge and being responsive *Learn how to use evidence-based parenting skills to hold boundaries and encourage cooperation *Collective family rewards concept * Learn about giving Guided Choices *Descriptive guidance and praise Come join us on our workshop, the 2-hour 'Understanding Your Children's Behaviour' session - will look at why children behave as they do, what is the ‘feeling and need’ behind their behaviour and how do we support our children to self-regulate and manage their emotions and feelings more appropriately. This event is aimed at families who have children between the ages of 2-10 years, however those with older children are also welcome to join us. Please note that this is a parent/carer only discussion session. Members of your local Starting Well Partnership team will be facilitating.

Understanding Your Baby (Bromsgrove) (CANCELLED)

Between Monday 22 January 2024 and Monday 26 February 2024
An 8 week group for mothers, fathers, partners or other family members involved caring for a baby from birth to approximately 6 months old. Themes include: • Baby’s Brain development • How you and baby may be feeling • Your developing relationship with baby • Meet and talk to other parents and their babies • Explore and understand ways to respond to baby’s crying; developing healthy sleep patterns; a healthy feeding relationship • Understand more about baby’s play and developmental needs • Thinking about times when baby may be looked after by someone else or returning to work
