Togetherness online learning pathways

We will meet at our Chill’d Out youth centre and walk to the ‘Jungle Journey Adventure’ crazy golf course. We will return to the youth centre, and we will have a BBQ. This activity is for 11 to 17 year olds.

Kayaking

Between Tuesday 21 July 2026 and Tuesday 28 July 2026
Beginning on site, you will be issued with wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and paddles before heading down to our boat store where we will give you a land-based boat demo and instructions on how to use your paddles. This activity is for 11 to 17 year olds. It will then be a team effort to carry our kayaks a short distance along the promenade to our own slipway into the harbour. From there we will launch the boats and start by getting to grips with paddling in a sheltered setting before we can journey further afield. Some sessions lend themselves more to a journey around the harbour and a chance to spot seals, dolphins and cormorants whereas others are full of games and getting wet. You will then return to the centre where we have external changing rooms with hot showers for your use afterwards. Our sessions are tailored to the participants needs and designed to make best use of the weather and the harbour. Wear sun cream and swimwear under your clothes. Also, wear lace up shoes that can get wet.

School Readiness Group (CANCELLED)

This group is designed to support children and families with School Readiness. Through fun and engaging activities, the sessions will focus on building relationships and developing social skills, physical development and growing independence all skills that help children to feel ready for the transition into school. Stand Up Paddleboarding - SUP

Between Thursday 23 July 2026 and Thursday 27 August 2026
Join us for a memorable 2-hour Introductory Paddleboard Adventure set in the heart of The English Rivera. One of our friendly guides will introduce you to the basics of Paddleboarding and support you as you develop your new skills and build confidence whilst enjoying a relaxing paddle within the sheltered waters of Torbay. Whether you are striving to get standing up or happy to stick to the comfort of your knees, you will be provided with safety instructions and paddling tips, ensuring a relaxed and enjoyable experience on the water. This adventure offers the perfect introduction to Paddleboarding on the sea and is ideal for beginners, young children and families. No prior experience is needed - just bring your sense of adventure! Please eat lunch before the activity. On the day, bring with you: Sun cream, towel, bottle of water, wear swimwear under your clothes and bring a spare pair of lace up shoes that can get wet. This activity is for 11 to 17 year olds. Please note: The session in August is for young women ONLY.

Coasteering

Saturday 1 August 2026
Beginning on site, you will be issued with wetsuits, buoyancy aids, and helmets before taking a short walk along the seafront to our coasteering site. We use a couple of different sites depending on the conditions and the ability of the group. Don't forget to bring your sun cream and wear swimwear under your clothes and lace up shoes that can get wet. After a safety briefing, we will begin by entering the water slowly in order to acclimatise. Sessions then include time playing in the waves, scrambling along rocks and some swimming and jumping in. At lower tides, you can spend some time exploring rock pools and getting up close to some of the marine life such as anemones, crabs, limpets and oysters. On some sessions we can be entertained by seals or maybe even some dolphins. Our sessions are tailored to the groups to make the best use of the weather, tides and location.

Gamechangers at Chill’d Out

This activity is for those aged 11- 17 years. We will meet at Chill’d Out Youth Centre and take a walk down to Torre Abbey Sands where we can do some beach art and build sandcastles if we so wish. Please note this is not a swimming activity. We can also play some games at Torre Abbey meadows and then back to Chill’d Out for a Barbeque. If the weather is not so great we can be centre based as lots to do with games, arts and crafts, music and food!

Join the Torbay Family Hub Free Antenatal Classes The Torbaby Solihull Antenatal Group is a 5 week program for expectant parents & their families who live in Torbay. This program covers topics that help you understand pregnancy, labour, birth, and your baby. Additionally, the group is led by Health Visitors and Midwives, ensuring professional guidance. Moreover, it provides an opportunity to meet other expectant parents and families in a nurturing environment. • Week 1: Helping You and Your Baby Through Pregnancy and Birth • Week 2: You, Your Baby, and the Stages of Labor • Week 3: Helping You and Your Baby Through Labor and Birth • Week 4: Feeding Your Baby • Week 5: Practical Session Booking is essential! These classes are suitable for Antenatal mums 20+ weeks & their birth partners . Each session lasts for 2 hours and runs weekly for 5 weeks.
