We want to give more people the chance to visit us at our V21 Sbectrwm Centre, so we’re thrilled to be putting on mini craft workshops for everyone. Felted Snake Workshop

Join Rachael to create a colourful, handmade snake using a fun wool craft technique called wet felting!
Using just warm, soapy water and your hands, you will wrap and roll raw wool roving into a solid, squishy snake design. Choose your favourite colours from our selection to make your creation completely unique.
Because this technique doesn’t use sharp tools this session is perfect for all ages and abilities.

Needle Felting Workshop

Join Rachael to create a custom needle felted decoration. You can choose to make a hanging home decoration, a car mirror accessory, or a key-ring.
Using a simple cookie-cutter technique, you will shape raw wool into a solid design. Choose your cookie cutter shape and colour wool from our selection.
Due to sharp needles being used this session is available for people who are 14+ years old. We have an alternative wet needle felting session for younger people or those who don't want to use needles.

Paint your own...

Choose your time slot, and what you would like to paint:
A kite, a terracotta plant pot or a novelty ceramic item such as a money box, vase, pot, tea light holder, a pair of coasters or a trinket tray (subject to availability).
Once you’re finished, you can choose to take it away or, if you would like a gloss varnish on your terracotta plant pot or ceramic item, you will need to give it a few minutes to dry; you can take this opportunity to explore the garden or use our cafe.
No experience needed, a range of tools available for anyone to give it a go. Session time slots are every 15 min, you will have up to an hour to paint. You are welcome to purchase additional items to paint when on site.
Parents & guardians must stay at the venue if the individual is under 14 or requires support.
All our sessions are designed to be inclusive and accessible for individuals with additional learning needs or disabilities.

Make your own Window Decoration's

Join Jessie to design Window Decorations to take home and brighten your windows!
Using mixed media, you will have the chance to create two different types: a 'stained glass' window effect hanging decoration and colourful window stickers.

Air Dry Clay Garden creatures

Come along and make a selection of garden creatures, from worms and slugs, to ladybugs, and personalise them with silly hats and big eyes. You'll be shown sculpting techniques to bring your tiny friends to life using air-dry clay, meaning you can take your creations home the very same day.

Lino Print
Saturday 11 July 2026
Join Jessie to make your own prints! You will carve into an A6 linoleum block to create your own unique prints or cards using printing paint. Make up to 5 prints. You can either bring along your own drawing/ image or use an image from our selection that you can trace.
No experience needed.
Because lino printing involves using sharp carving tools, our workshops are designed for participants aged 14 and over. A reasonable amount of hand dexterity is required to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

Create your own Resin Bag Charm
Saturday 4 July 2026
Join Jenny to create your very own bespoke resin or bag charm or key ring! Choose from a selection of shapes or letter moulds to create your unique item. You’ll experiment with colours and a variety of textures, from glitters and gems to dried flowers.
Because we use UV resin, you can watch your design set instantly and take your creation home the same day!
No experience needed.
To keep everyone safe, children under 14 aren't allowed to pour the liquid resin or touch a piece until it has been fully hardened under the lamp. Children can still be the 'designers' by picking out their favourite colours and glitters! A parent and child will share one ticket and work together as a team.

Batik Tote Bag

Join Jenny for a Batik Workshop!
Batik is a fabric-dyeing method that uses wax to block out colour. You apply hot wax to the fabric in a design, then paint over it with ink. The ink only colours the unwaxed areas. Once the wax is removed, your design is revealed.
We offer two options for making your batik bag:
Option 1: Pre-designed Patterns
We apply the wax design for you ahead of time. You paint the bag with your choice of inks. We will iron off the wax afterwards so you can take the bag home. Open to all ages (required for under 14s).
Choose from a selection of design options.
Option 2: The Full Process
You do every step yourself: design the image on the bag, apply the hot wax, paint the inks, and iron off the wax to finish. For ages 14+ only.

V21 Santa's Grotto 2025

Santa's Grotto at V21 Sbectrwm Centre, CF5 3EF
This is an inclusive grotto for all ages, suitable for people with ALN, open to everyone.
Dates & Booking: Open December 18th to December 20th. Please book your time slot in advance.
Price & Inclusions: Tickets cost £7.50 per person. This includes a visit with Santa, a selection box gift, a letter to Santa, and a free small hot chocolate from the V21 Café @ Fairwater.
Who Needs a Ticket: Booking is only required for the person wishing to speak to Santa and receive a gift. Support/parent do not need a ticket. There is no age limit.
Group Capacity: Each time slot allows up to 3 people (receiving a gift) to book. Please select the correct ticket for your group size.
Allergies: Unfortunately, we cannot cater for allergies for the included items. You are welcome to bring your own gift for Santa to give.

Crafts 2 Taster Day
Between Monday 4 August 2025 and Thursday 7 August 2025
Join Jenny for a 45-minute taster session at V21 Crafts 2 where you'll make a Jesmonite coaster and create an initial print! You'll learn the basics of working with Jesmonite and have a unique print to take home with you.
For people with learning disabilities 14+ interested in joining V21*
*These free sessions are specifically designed for individuals aged 14 and over with learning disabilities who are interested in joining V21. We encourage anyone who feels this might be a good fit for them to attend. Attendees are welcome to come with parents, guardians, or support. Please note: The booking itself should be made for the individual interested in joining V21 only.
If you're interested in simply visiting to observe the project (maybe you are a support planner or school), you are very welcome to pop by! An inclusive Santa's grotto for all ages at V21 Sbectrwm Centre, CF5 3EF. The grotto will be open from December 18th to 21st, please book your time slot. Tickets cost £5 per person, includes a selection box from Santa and a free small hot chocolate from the V21 Café @ Fairwater.
Booking only required for anyone wishing to receive a gift and speak to Santa. No age limit.
Unfortunately we are unable to cater for allergies for the above items. You are welcome to bring your own gift for Santa to give.
