Come and create your very own fairy door – or even a troll door! Use clay to design and decorate your creation with bricks, flowers, leaves, and other magical details. Once you've finished, your work will be fired and ready for collection. You can then paint it at home, or for an additional £12, return to Ragtag to glaze your piece. We'll fire it a second time, and you'll take home a beautiful, professionally finished glazed creation. Suitable for Children Aged 5+ Children aged 5–6 years must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, who will need to stay and support them during the workshop. Children aged 7 years and over may be left unattended, provided a consent form has been completed before the workshop.

This is a really fun textile workshop for children, where they will learn the traditional wet felting process to create their own bag, purse, or pocket for keeping special treasures in. Children will lay out colourful wool fibres, add warm soapy water, and roll the felt to help the fibres bind together into a strong fabric. Once their felted creation is complete, they can personalise it with buttons, handles, beads, and other decorative accessories.

Sew your own Funky Friend cushion! Create an animal, monster, or imaginary blob and bring it to life with your own unique design. Using simple hand-stitching techniques, along with buttons, tassels, and other decorative materials, you'll make a one-of-a-kind cuddly friend to take home and enjoy. You don't need to be good at sewing – just have the patience to give it a go!

This workshop is perfect for children who love to paint. We will begin with some fun drawing games to warm up our imaginations and build confidence. Children will then create and paint their own canvas, inspired by the work of Franz Marc, who is famous for his colourful and imaginative paintings of animals. Using his artwork as a starting point, children will explore the idea of animals dreaming and create their own unique painted masterpiece to take home.
