Meet you local councillors (Free Event)

Residents are warmly invited to attend a public meeting with our County and Borough Councillors. This is an opportunity to receive updates and ask questions on matters affecting Bourne End. Likely topics include: • The current position and future schedule for adoption of Dacorum’s Local Plan • Results of the consultation on possible road closures in Winkwell • Progress and expected timeframe for the missing pavement near the War Memorial on London Road Can’t attend? Residents who are unable to attend are invited to submit topics they would like raised by responding to the Facebook post on the Bourne End Village group or by emailing d.chapman@ucl.ac.uk. All residents welcome.

Village Voices - Miles Harrison, Rugby Commentator

Life behind the sporting microphone: Come to Bourne End Village Hall for an evening with Miles Harrison, International Rugby Commentator, and Bourne End resident. Tickets are £5 with proceeds to Bowel Cancer UK. Miles has kindly agreed to take time out from his Six Nations Rugby duties to talk about his experiences as a leading TV rugby commentator. As well as guiding us through the complexities of the Rugby World Cup, British and Irish Lions tours, Six Nations and regular club matches Miles has also has written three books: Best Seat in the House, about the 1997 British Lions tour to South Africa; Grand Slam, a history of the Five Nations Championship; and an autobiography of the now late, great, JPR Williams.

Village Quiz Night

Village Voices: Colin Smith, International Coffee Expert

Coffee from tree to cup. Tickets £5 with proceeds to Hospice of St Francis. Colin, a local coffee roaster and supplier, invites you to a fascinating evening all about coffee including delicious samples to taste. Colin is a founder member and former president of the Speciality Coffee Association of Europe who has led 30 trips to different coffee growing countries to inform groups about the fundamentals of coffee production.His talk will provide insights from his visits to growers and processors around the world from whom he sources coffee to be roasted, ground and packed at his factory in Apsley www.smithscoffee.co.uk. Fathers Day Duck Race & Village Fair

Sunday 21 June 2026
Join us for an afternoon of family fun and games including favourites such as Hook a Duck, Splat the Rat, Buzzwire Challenge, Coconut Shy and Dad's football skill test. The afternoon will culminate in the annual Duck Race down the River Bulbourne which starts at 3pm. Refreshments including Afternoon Tea, BBQ and a paying bar will be available.
