Our partnership with We The Curious continues this Summer Holidays: Minibeast Mansions Have you ever wondered where insects like to live, or how the plants around them help them to survive? Many insects are losing their homes because of pollution, construction, and fewer wild spaces. In this session you'll create a welcoming habitat to take home, whilst exploring how gravity and light affect how plants grow in our Hanging Gardens experiment. As your seeds begin to sprout, you'll see how plants provide food, shelter, and protection for the tiny creatures living around them.   Friday 14th August: 10:30- 11:30 and 12:30-1:30. Aimed at children aged 5-12. Accompanied children only - all children need a ticket. Adults do not need a ticket. This is a free event but donations to the Garden are very welcome! 💚

Flamingo Chicks inclusive dance classes are all about immersing the participants into a world of magic and sparkle! Their sessions provide a mixture of dance, drama and storytelling, with sensory props and resources. All with the aim of improving balance, co-ordination, social skills and confidence. This year’s theme is ‘Going Global!’ so they will be tying in geography, culture and travel, perhaps with some national dances and definitely bringing to life what makes different countries special. The workshop is fully inclusive, therefore suitable for children and young people with and without additional needs. Their exceptional teachers are experts in their field, regularly working with young people with a wide variety of needs, including visual impairments, autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome or PMLD. ‘We actively celebrate what our children and young people CAN do!’ If your child needs extra support, please accompany them into the workshop or liase with the leader about staying close by if suitable.
